Professional Journey Update: as Central Sr. Manager – Compliance & Industrial Safety at Pearl Global Bangladesh
I am pleased to share an overview of my role and responsibilities as Sr. Manager – Central Compliance at Pearl Global Bangladesh, a position I have proudly held since April 2025.
In this capacity, I have had the opportunity to drive compliance excellence, CSR initiatives, and supply chain security programs across our Bangladesh operations, and monitoring sourcing factories through internal audit (Social & Technical Compliance), contributing to the company’s ongoing commitment to ethical and responsible business practices.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Leading Internal Social and Technical Audits Across Global Brands
I coordinate, lead, and follow up with the Pearl Global (HK) Ltd. and Norp 02 audit teams to manage internal social audits for Primark, Next, Kohl’s, Levi’s, Inditex, BWB, Muji, and over 10 other brands, as well as traceability audits for Inditex requirements at both Tier 1 and Tier 2 facilities. Ensuring audit readiness and proactively addressing compliance gaps have been key focuses to maintain operational excellence and meet global standards.
2. CSR Program Management
Leading our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, I initiate and follow up on various CSR programs across all Bangladesh units. I am responsible for preparing and submitting progress reports to top management, ensuring that our initiatives are strategic, impactful, and aligned with the organization’s values and stakeholder expectations.
3. Compliance Coordination Across Operations
Another significant aspect of my role involves coordinating compliance-related activities across all units in Bangladesh. I work closely with in-hourse factories compliance heads to ensure full adherence to customer standards, local laws, and international best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Supply Chain Security Program Implementation
In today’s complex global supply chains, security is paramount. I am tasked with implementing, guiding, auditing, and following up on the Supply Chain Security Program for all Bangladesh units. This program plays a crucial role in safeguarding our operations and ensuring compliance with international supply chain security protocols.
Key Competencies: My role demands a high level of cross-functional team leadership, Internal audit management, team coordination, and an in-depth understanding of compliance and supply chain security frameworks. Working across various departments and levels of management, I strive to maintain seamless collaboration and drive operational integrity.
